There is no better way to start your morning other than with a fresh fruit smoothie. All you need a few easily available ingredients and a blender. Smoothies are also great for those who do not get enough time to eat a full breakfast every morning; a fruit smoothie is not only healthy but is also very filling. Watermelon Freeze
Freeze three cups of chopped watermelon (remove the seeds) overnight. In the morning, toss them in the blender along with 1 cup of fresh seeded watermelon. Add juice of 1 lime and ¼ cup of sugar. Lastly add 1 cup water and blend.
Apple Twist
Chop one apple, and a 1/2-inch piece peeled ginger. Toss them in the blender along with the juice of 2 small limes and 1/4 cup honey. Next add 2 cups of ice and 1 cup water. Blend and serve.
Fruit Madness
In the blender, put one cup of pineapple chunks. Chop one ripe mango and ripe banana and add them to the blender. Add one cup yogurt or milk. Next toss in ice cubes and blend.
The Veggie Smoothie
Blend together 1 cup of carrot juice and 1 cup of apple juice along with 1 ½ cups of ice.
Coconut Smoothie
Overnight, freeze 2 cups of coconut water in ice-cube trays. In the morning, toss the cubes into the blender along with 2 cups of chopped pineapple. Add 1 ½ tablespoons lime juice and 1 tablespoon honey. Lastly add ½ cup of coconut water and blend.
