Bharti Foundation signs MoU with the department of education, government of Assam to support 45 schools in the districts of Jorhat and Majuli under its Satya Bharti Quality Support Program benefiting the students and teachers in the region. The Program aims at achieving excellence through need based intervention in Government schools.
As part of the MoU, Bharti Foundation will work to strengthen initiatives in holistic improvement of school quality. Through joint discussions with the school leaders and education department officials, the Foundation will partner the Government to improve the overall quality of learning experience in the identified government schools.
The Satya Bharti Quality Support Program is an education initiative with Government Schools. Through this program, Bharti Foundation engages the school leadership, teachers, students and communities to enhance the schooling experience and support them in their efforts to strive for excellence.
Mamta Saikia, COO, Bharti Foundation said, “With this program, we aim to work with school leaders to enhance the overall schooling experience for all stakeholders in these Government schools. Our holistic development approach and school improvement plan involves working in close coordination with educationists and officials in education department of Assam.”
The Satya Bharti Quality Support Program will help in improving the education process in Meghalaya and provide teachers – knowledge & skills and students – a quality education.
Through its flagship initiative the Foundation provides free and quality education to underprivileged children across rural India, with a focus on the girl child. the programs have impacted over 2 million community members across rural India. Satya Bharti Abhiyan achieved the distinction of having delivered more than 18,000 individual toilets, directly benefitting over 90,000 beneficiaries in Ludhiana and rural Amritsar. These programs have already been recognized as one of the largest private enterprise initiatives of the country in the education sector.
