Union Ministry of Tourism has organized a three day long mega-tourism mart at the Pragya Bhawan, Agartala in association with Tripura Tourism. It will be held from 22nd to 24th November. Most Southeast Asian countries, all states of the Northeast, and tourism ministers and officials of Tripura and union government will take part in the tourism mart to showcase the tourism potential of their countries and states. The Central and State government is organizing the tourism mart to highlight the potential of building up a tourism hub in the Northeastern state.
The programme will be inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister, Alphons Kannan Thanam and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with State Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy. All the Southeast Asian countries and Northeastern states will be showcasing their unique tourist attractions at the mega mart. The three-day programme, part of the Act East programme, is expected to boost tourism all over Southeast Asia including India and the Northeast.
