Globally acclaimed kite-flyer Mehul Pathak associated with MH kite club based in Ahmadabad will hold a kite-flying workshop in Ampati (South West Garo Hills), Meghalaya on 16 and 17 December. The MH kite club holds the Limca Book of Records honour for the largest spinner kite (ring-kite design). The kite club participates in various national as well as international festivals.
During the workshop, Pathak and his team will also display some of their largest kites. He has represented India in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Taiwan, Australia. He and his team is also known for making different types of kite like 3D kites, Aerofoil, Inflatable, Box kites and others. They have kites in various shapes, sizes and colours etc. Pathak expressed his happiness in showing his kite-flying skills in this part of India. He and a bunch of other kite-loving people found the MH kite club in 1999.
