The dissident group of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has finally come out in the open and declared the controversial leader Kalilkho Pul as the next Chief Ministerial contender. While addressing the media, former parliamentary secretary Markio Tado said, ‘Pul has assured that with the formation of a new government, the financial problems of the State will be solved in a year’.
Meanwhile, a non-bailable case against Pul, an MLA from Anjaw district had been registered in Itanagar Police Station following an FIR Lodged by Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Legal Cell on December 11. The APCC has alleged that former minister Pul had acquired funds to ‘entice’ INC MLAs to join BJP for paving the way for him to become the next Chief Minister. APCC has further added that Pul has sought financial help from Assam based business tycoon Romeo Neog for buying legislators in order to revolt against the present Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.
