Northeast has finally caught the eye of Bollywood film industry bigwigs. Renowned filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj has chosen to shoot his upcoming film ‘Rangoon’ in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district. The film is based on World War II where some Indian soldiers fought for the British army against Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army in Rangoon, Myanmar.
Talented Kangana Ranaut along with actors Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor will star in the film. Bharadwaj along with his entourage visited the place on July 28 last to identify possible locations for the film. Some of the locations that have been chosen are Komsing Bridge, Kebang, Bodak, Partuk etc. The shooting is slated to start from the second week of January.
The East Siang DC Isha Khosla has assured the team of all possible help and cooperation from her administration. Adequate security personnel will be deployed for crowd control and traffic.
