3rd Assam International Agri-Horticulture Show has something exciting to offer the farmers of Assam. This time, the four-day event will see the participation of delegates from different countries, and they will provide training to local farmers on how to improve crop yield.
‘The show is a platform for small farmers to gain knowledge and promote their products,’ said State Agriculture Minister Rakibul Hussain, adding, ‘This is a common platform that has brought together farmers, government, industry and many other stake-holders.’
He also stated innovations in agriculture, horticulture, and floriculture will be focussed on throughout the show. ‘We will also request national and international experts to make filed visits and assess the feasibility of setting up agricultural and horticultural industries in the State.’
This year, a total of 342 stalls have been put up at the venue. ‘Besides products, the exhibitors will also display farm machinery, greenhouse technology, agri-biotechnology, soil-testing machinery etc,’ Hussain added.
