i.Bake is a one-of-a-kind home based cakery in Dimapur. It is introducing local people to all kinds of baked delights. i.Bake has successfully managed to get ahead of competitors with two clever secrets. First is allowing customers the freedom of customization. And the second is adding new items to the menu often to keep the curiosity going.
How It Started
Iliangna Haralu is the brains and skills behind i.Bake. She has had a passion for baking from an early stage. ‘Ever since I was a little girl, I loved baking. I occasionally helped my mother (who is also a keen baker) with prepping for family dinners/ birthdays/ parties etc. And after passing out from school in the year 2007, I decided to go for a course in professional cookery. That was where I got the inspiration and the push to take it to the next level.
In the year 2008, I completed the VRQ-2 programme with distinction in Culinary Arts from Llandrillo College in North Wales, UK. Since then I have launched my own catering service including the i.Bake Facebook page from where I get orders from across Nagaland and neighbouring states.’ Besides being a full-time baker, Iliangna also does freelance Photography. Her photographs have also been featured on Vogue India twice.
Although i.Bake dishes out many baked goodies, there are some items that rate higher than others – the Blueberry Gateau and the Gooey Dark Chocolate Cake is on the top of the list.
