For all Bob Dylan fans in Shillong, the best place to hang out is Dylan’s Café. Vatsala Tibrewalla is the brains behind Shillong’s only themed tribute café. The playlist is full of Dylan’s songs so it is safe to say that fans won’t be disappointed with the music.
Located opposite St Edmund’s, it opened its doors on January, this year. What sets it apart from others is its unique theme and menu. The menu offers a mix of comfort food with local favourites like succulent burgers, steaks, mac and cheese, noodles, momos and finger food like nachos, onion rings, chicken wings to name a few. They also have a range of desserts like pancakes, waffles, cupcakes etc.
A meal for two here costs Rs 600-700. Their specialities include the all-day breakfast, Bob’s Burger, and New York Lamb Steak.
Tibrewalla adds, ‘Our fajitas, waffles and burgers are highly recommended. So is our hot chocolate with marshmallows. Apart from food and beverage, we have a range of activities for people to engage in – our ceiling tiles double up as a canvas for budding artists so anyone can come and paint, and we also have a book exchange system, where anyone can leave a book and pick another one in exchange. We also have a range of board games for people to play.’
So the next time you are in the area, you know where to head to!
