At least eight candidates from Assam have qualified for the civil services. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of Civil Services Examination 2015 on Tuesday.
Padmanabh Baruah was ranked 194, topping the list of candidates from the State. He was followed by Sagarika Nath (199), Bidisha Kalita (210), Purno Borah (466), Saurabjyoti Bora (577), Jyotirmoy Bailung (786), Niharika Ingti (930) and Mamonee Doley (1,005).
Besides that, at least seven have cleared the exam from Manipur namely Diana Khumanthem (24), S Askar Ali (Rank 167), Kritidas Thokchom (Rank 540), Haridas Rajkumar (Rank 686), Kshetrimayum Shivakanta (Rank 752), M Thangsuansang Zou (Rank 915), Elvina Lalmuanpuii Leivon (Rank 1018).
It is pertinent to note that Diana of Top Thongam Leirak recently cleared the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination 2015 in 9th rank. Also, one cleared the exam from Meghalaya and two from Arunachal Pradesh.
While Tina Dabi from Delhi has topped the examination, Kashmir boy Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan has bagged the second position and Jasmeet Singh Sandhu secured the third position. A total of 1,078 candidates have cleared the civil services exam.
