Fresh and healthy, summer coolers are great for picnics and brunches, and they are also a favourite for pool parties. Here are some easy to make summer coolers that you can make at home, all you need are some fresh fruits and herbs.
First juice 3 carrots and about half a lemon together with a small piece of ginger, and then add some water along with a dash of sugar depending on how sweet you want it. Just pour the mix in a bottle and freeze it till you are ready to serve. You can garnish the drink with a small lemon wedge.
Grab a jug and pour in 3 cups of grape juice along with ½ a cup of orange juice and ¾ a cup of apple juice. Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Thinly slice 1 lemon, 1 orange, 1 apple and 1 black plum, make sure to keep the peel. Add the pieces into the jug along with the juices. Leave it in the refrigerator overnight and mix in some soda right before serving.
CITRUS ICED TEA
Make tea using six tea bags along with sugar, as per your taste. Pour the tea into a pot and add 10 springs of mint and let it infuse for near about ten minutes. Strain and let it cool. After which, you must add 300ml fresh orange juice along with the juice of one whole lime. Serve with orange slices, mint and ice.
Peel and chop one whole cucumber into thin pieces. Blend together the cucumber pieces along with 2 tsp lemon juice, 2 cups fresh pineapple juice along with some sugar in a mixer. Strain the mix and pour into a bottle to refrigerate. Serve with chopped cucumber pieces and lemon wedges.
Put a handful of mint along with lemon slices inside a jug. Release the flavours by bashing the mint and lemon with a rolling pin. After which, you can add 1 litre pomegranate juice along with 500 ml fresh made lemonade. Refrigerate till ice-cold and serve with lemon slices and mint.
