We already know about all the transformations actors go through to look realistic during their performances. But what we rarely get to hear about, is their behind the scene experience. And it seems while trying to give us a glimpse of the same, actress Kangana Ranaut might have opened a can of worms.
What’s it all about?
In conversation with Neha Dhupia, on her #NoFilterNeha podcast, Kangana Ranaut spoke about what bizarre things happened with her on the sets of Rangoon. The National Award winning actress said that during the shoot of her upcoming film, the entire cast would change costumes and pee behind rocks.
‘For Rangoon, we were taken to remote valleys in Arunachal Pradesh. There were literally no villages, nothing, not even restrooms. I was peeing behind rocks and changing behind rocks. My own people would just cover me. Everyone was – so was Shahid. There was nothing, so what do you do?’, she told the media.
However the diva went on to point out that she had a similar experience during the shoot of Queen. She stepped out of her comfort zone and changed costumes at cafes in Europe.
Arunachal Locals not Impressed
Her innocuous statement might portray her as a tough and gritty actress, but that won’t help her win new fans in Arunachal Pradesh. Her statement has upset quite a few many locals who are not impressed with the Tanu Weds Manu actress comments.
Northeast Indian states, especially Arunachal Pradesh, which is trying hard to promote tourism, statements like these by a popular Bollywood actress doesn’t help. It gives a sense that the State and region are backward and have very poor facilities.
However film critics state these comments from Kangana Ranaut as publicity stunts to remain in the news and also portray to the world how tough and amiable she is. During shooting of movies such as LOC Kargil, Lakshya similar facilities were not there as well but most stars understood that and continued with their work.
