Former CM of Arunachal Pradesh Kalikho Pul in a 60-page note levelled serious allegations of corruption against constitutional functionaries and top politicians in the State. The corruption allegations include current CM Pema Khandu and his deputy Chowna Mein.
The note was first discovered with Pul’s body and have remained a subject of intense speculation even now. The note’s existence was disclosed to the media by former Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa. Sealed copies of the note were seized by the police when it arrived on the scene but nothing has been heard of Pul’s allegations since then.
The Wire’s Hindi site have obtained a copy of the same called Mere Vichaar or My Thoughts. It is being published because it believes the people of Arunachal and the rest of the India have the right to know what prompted the Former Chief Minister to take his own life. The note is written in Hindi and has Pul’s signature in every page.
The note makes allegations of corruption against a number of individuals, including politicians from the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party. Neither the State or Central Government has taken the trouble to order a probe into the note’s allegations. It is because of this note is being brought to the public domain.
