Thrilled after catching a live python, villagers in Assam used the opportunity to click selfies with the 25-feet-long snake.
Joint Forest Committee (JFC) workers spotted a python near the national highway in Dhubri. Along with villagers they captured it physically and then in their cameras too!
The giant snake also caught attention of many villagers of Dhubri and nearby villages as well. Even though this was not the first time that a python was spotted in the area, people were left terrified as well as excited to see the reptile.
After villagers caught the gigantic python they informed forest department officials but it took almost one and a half hours for them to recover it. ‘While we were working in the forest we came across with this big python and we caught it,’ JFC worker Hasim Ali who was the first person to get a glance of the python said.
Excitement about the python
The place soon resembled a fair-like atmosphere as the thrill of a python being among the people raised excitement levels.
People from different nearby villages too hopped in to Dhubri for taking pictures and selfies with it. Baring all age groups, people took selfies with the python while the JFC workers and villagers were holding it.
After sometime when the reptile was taken away by forest department officers many villagers were left upset and complained that the captive giant could have stayed on for a few more minutes. Many villagers from far off places missed the chance to catch its glimpse.
