An Anonymous Note from Arunachal
Why I support the Creation of Namdapha District in Arunachal?
’I strongly support the creation of Namdapha district. Because it will focus on the development of neglected areas like Miao, Bordumsa-Diyun, Kharsang and Vijoynagar. Our road condition is an example of being neglected. There is no pucca road for Vijoynagar only in announcement there is pucca road. Even though coal and oil industry have come up in this region but there is no significant contribution from this industry for the development of this region from job creation to infrastructure development. On the job front also our job will always go to people of other district. For example recently advertised SSA exam many from outside the district were eligible for the job whereas our own guys remain jobless. Changlang is a badly managed district. Insurgency, unempolyment, badly managed infrastructure is the face of the district. Also we always have to cross Assam to go Changlang which is famous for its bandh culture and harassment. Going to district headquarters has been always a challenge due to its road conditions even though restored recently. We have to look out beyond our home district if it guarantees our development to become a self sufficient district.Problem will be same for all tribes; majority and minority. There should not be a problem of majority or minority if we know how to respect each other and help each other to solve common problem. So come one and come all for the creation of Namdapha District.’
