Celebrity chef Atul Lahkar shares an authentic pork dish that will force your guests to ask for second helpings.
Pork with Elephant Apple (Gahori aru ou tenga)
- 500 gms pork
- 1 ou tenga (elephant apple) chopped
- 2 tsp ginger paste
- 2 green chillies
- 2 bunches of coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Clean and wash pork. Cut into small pieces. Heat the pan on a low flame, add pork and stir frequently till the pork releases its own fat. Fry slowly for 10 minutes. Add salt and chopped ou tenga and stir. Add water and bring to a boil on high heat. Add ginger and green chilly and continue to boil till the gravy becomes thick. Add chopped coriander leaves and boil till pork is tender. Remove from heat and serve with boiled rice .
