What inspired you to take part in beauty pageants?
I was a tomboy in the past but as I grew up, I started to have this feeling to do something. I learned about the influence beauty pageants has on young minds and that caught my attention. I decided that I will try to represent my State, my region and my country at an international platform. I wanted to use the ‘title’ for something positive, influence people in a good way. And, I am trying to do exactly that right now.
Share a little about your NGO, what projects or initiatives have you been a part of?
My NGO works for environment conservation and woman empowerment. It is a new organisation, but that doesn’t hold us back from doing what we can to make a difference. Till date, we have undertaken sanitisation programmes, plantation drives, and sensitisation programmes at schools and villages.
Our main target is to reach out to people at the grassroots level, and make them understand the value and importance of nature and cleanliness. We also make sure to spread sensitisation on women empowerment.
Do you have a beauty regime?
Not exactly, but I do make sure to workout, drink lots of water, get enough sleep and be happy all the time!
What do you like to do when you have free time?
I love reading, romantic novels particularly. I am a hopeless romantic.
