Bhaichung Bhutia is a known name in the Northeast. The former India captain is a talented football player who has made the region and country proud on numerous occasions. Therefore it is not surprising that many young football players, across the region and the country, look up to him.
This month, Bhaichung will be coaching his home state, Sikkim for Santosh Trophy. Sikkim has been clubbed in the East Zone with Bihar and Orissa for the qualifiers. Defending champions Bengal are also in the East Zone with Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Two top teams from each group will qualify for the final rounds.
The team has local players and Bhaichung has shared that he is enjoying coaching the young talents.
