An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast rocked Khamti village in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday, when an army convoy was just ran past the area. According to sources, the IED was plotted aiming the army convoy.
Though no casualties or injuries were reported, 11 grenadier regiments have luckily escaped the brutal attack. Meanwhile, a civil vehicle was damaged during the blast, which was coming just behind the convoy.
According to sources, suspected ULFA (I) cadres have plotted the IED, which was operated via remote control. Security forces have launched search operation in the area to nab the militants operating in the region.
