We have all heard of the Forbes India ‘30 under 30 list’; it highlights some of the most hardworking, talented and successful young achievers in the country. This year around, Ranjan Bordoloi from Assam made it to the list. Who is this young achiever? Well, he is the founder and creative director of Studio Bordoloi. For those not in the know, this Guwahati-based designer was the only Indian to win two awards in the furniture category at the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2017. He has definitely make Assam proud with his achievements, of which there are many, besides making this prestigious list.
He is not the only achiever from the Northeast who we should be proud about. There are two other achievers who got ‘Special Mentions’.
One is 28-year-old Shiroi Lily Shaiza who is the Managing Director of Aspora Nagaland and an advisor at Entrepreneurs Associates. ASPORA Nagaland Ltd is a social enterprise initiated by the Entrepreneurs Associates, an organization committed to developing entrepreneurship, financial accessibility and innovative livelihoods in Nagaland and Manipur since its inception in 2000.
The other achiever is none other than 17-year-old Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem. In the 2017 Fifa Under-17 World Cup, all eyes were fixed on him. He gave an impressive performance as the goalkeeper for the India team. At present, he is giving trails in different European clubs starting with Motherwell FC.
