An app that goes by the moniker ‘Cityora’ founded in May 2016, is a startup from Guwahati that is working towards making life for the people of the city easier with user-friendly home delivery. Now, their aim is to launch soon in other parts of the state the northeastern states as well.
Cityora: What is it All About
It is designed to cater to the daily needs of people with the aim to access multiple services through a single platform. The app has been operational for over a year and a half and has served over 50,000 customers in the city.
It is available on both iOS and android, and is currently operational in Guwahati, Kokrajhar, and will launch soon in many other parts of Northeast India.
Through this app, users can explore cuisines from restaurants across the city. The app is known primarily as a food delivery app but it also offers services such as delivery of e-commerce products, table reservations and ticket booking for events.
‘Our tagline is “Why Go Out”! We want to make lives of people easier, so they don’t have to go out and everything comes to their doorsteps,’ says Tanmay Goswami, Chief Technical Officer of Cityora.
The app was started with a team of three people and currently has a workforce of 30 people. The core team members include Javed Laskar (Chief Operating Officer), Sahil huda (Chief Executive Officer), Arshad Arif Hazarika (Chief Management Officer), Noushin Kausar (PR and HR), Tanmay Goswami (Chief Technical Officer) and Rishi Baruah (Chief Marketing Officer).
‘Our mission is to generate at least 200 jobs over the next six months for the unemployed youth of the region,’ says Javed Laskar.
