Recently the Adi community in Arunachal Pradesh celebrated the Unying Aran Giidi (hunting festival). One of their most important annual festivals, it commemorates the arrival of spring. Male elders dress in their traditional finest and take part in performing traditional song and dance. The songs talk about how the festival originated. During the festival, the community prays for the well-being of everyone, in addition to success and mental peace.
