Your best friend or your sister is going to have a baby soon and you want to throw her a surprise baby shower. That’s a great idea but it is also a lot of work, here are a few tips and tricks that can help you stay ahead of the game and plan a successful party that will make her feel loved –
Set The Mood: Pick a theme, a favourite children’s book or character, and decorate the venue keeping that in mind. Bright colours will spread a happy and cheerful vibe.
Keep It Simple: Since most baby showers are organized during the day, try not to overcomplicate the menu. Choose light and flavourful dishes that will please your guests. Fresh salads, grilled fish and homemade pizzas are good options.
Outdoors: If the weather co-operates, then plan the baby shower in the backyard or in the garden. One easy and cheap way to decorate would be get colourful balloons and tie them up.
Centrepiece: Do not worry about buying flowers to make a centrepiece, instead order a decorated cake which will serve as both the centrepiece and dessert.
Keep It Cool: For refreshments, make an icy drink that you can prepare before and store in the refrigerator. Pink lemonade and iced teas are options that you can look at.
Candy Bar: Set up a table on the side where you can keep assorted candy. Keep paper boxes or bags ready as well so that guests can fill them up with their favourite candy to take back home.
