Udaan is a scheme to promote regional connectivity by the Central government; it mandates air fare within Rs 2,500 per passenger. Shortlisted under Udaan, Air Deccan is planning to start services on the Calcutta-Agartala-Shillong route. Although there are a few formalities that need to be completed before said services can start, travellers will most likely be able to fly on the Calcutta-Agartala-Shillong route after 15th April.
