Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), awarded Kaziranga University in Jorhat with the ‘Best University Nurturing 21st Century Innovative Skills’ and the ‘Outstanding University Promoting Science, Technology, Research & Innovation’ at a ceremony held at the Taj Mahal Hotel, in New Delhi.
Dr Satya Pal Singh, Minister of State for HRD, Government of India presented the award to Basant Khetan, Pro-Chancellor and Dr PK Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Kaziranga University.
A statement from the University read that since its foundation in 2012, Kaziranga University has contributed significantly to the Northeastern region, emerging as a university of quality in a very short time.
It further stated that the prestigious ASSOCHAM awards for Kaziranga University highlights the university’s aim of providing path-breaking learning experiences and its focus on the space created by KU for applied knowledge, research and innovation that lead to the wholesome development of the region
These awards are yet another feather in the cap of Kaziranga University, whose commitment to educational excellence has been recognized and noted, not just in the region, but also nation-wide.
ASSOCHAM, also known as the ‘Knowledge Architect of Corporate India’, was established in 1920. The ASSOCHAM awards promote education excellence and are a means to felicitate those who have done significant contribution in the fields of science, technology, research and innovation in India.
