3D animation film – ‘A Blind Dog‘, was selected to be officially screened at the APA Film Festival held as part of The 126th Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association during August 9-12, 2018, at the famous Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
A Blind Dog was the only Indian film that was screened at the special APA Film Festival. It is the real-life-based story of the relationship between a musician and his blind dog. The animation conveys a heartfelt message about the presence of strong emotional bonds with animals outside the realm of human relations. Animation, as well as direction, has been done by Ryan Hazarika. Axl Hazarika is the producer, music composer and VFX editor of the film.
It is the first 3D animation film from Assam officially certified and censored by the Central Board of Film Certification, India. The film is scheduled to be released in India later this year.
The animation film has been selected for more than 25 international film festivals across countries like Russia, Germany, UK, Italy, Africa, the United State, etc, which includes major festivals like 60th St Petersburg International Film Festival (Russia), The Golden Peak Film Festival (Russia), Saint Vladimir Film Festival (Russia), Caribbean Film Festival (USA), Cardiff International Film Festival (UK), APA Film Festival (USA), 4th International CGA (Germany), International Tourism Film Festival (Maldives), 23rd Film Festival della Lessinia (Italy), etc.
