Following the tremendous response from filmmakers and general public in its previous five editions, the organisers of the Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival are back with the sixth edition of the BVFF Short Film Contest. It has been organized with the idea to give upcoming talented filmmakers an opportunity to showcase their films and network with established national filmmakers.
Interested filmmakers can now send their entries online or offline, instructions are available of the festival website and their Facebook page. BVFF Short Film Contest is open to any films by directors from Northeast India, featuring stories/topics related to Northeast India and starring actor(s) from Northeast India. The films should be no more than 10 minutes. The last date of submission is 30th September. Winning entries will be awarded with prizes over Rs 2 Lacs.
The entries will be judged by renowned filmmakers from the region and well-known named from Bollywood. The top 15 submissions will be screened at the Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival, which will be held in Guwahati. The three winners be awarded with prize money and the opportunity to network with filmmakers of national and international repute.
BVFF Short Film Contest and Film Festival are initiatives of Tattva Creations, a strategic integrated communications and event management organisation based in Guwahati, Assam.
