Music composer Anuraag Saikia from Assam is back again with more compositions, this time they will feature in the upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Karwaan‘. Saikia has composed three tracks for the Irfan Khan starrer movie, directed by Akarsh Khurana. Saikia shows his composition skills in three tracks namely, ‘Chota Sa Fasana’, ‘Heartuquake’, and ‘Aftershocks’.
‘Chhota Sa Fasana’ has thoughtful lyrics penned by the movie director himself. In ‘Heartquake’, he envelops music with a beautifully crafted poem, which has been sung by none other than Papon. In ‘Aftershocks’, Saikia dabbled with a new and electronic treatment, which also features SlowCheeta on rap, another composer who worked on the soundtrack for the movie.
Anurag Saikia is an Indian film-score composer, music director and instrumentalist from the Northeast. He is one of the youngest composers to be awarded the ‘Rajat Kamal’ National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction for the film Yugadrashta. Anurag owns a full-fledged audio workstation complete with modern gear and equipment, located in Mumbai, where he engages himself in the search for the truth of life through music.
