To introduce the delicacies of pre-independent Punjab, Rang de Basanti Urban Dhaba in Guwahati is hosting a special Undivided Punjab Food Festival from November 13th onwards. They will offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Tapan Sinha, COO, Zing Restaurants Pvt. Ltd said, ‘Punjabi cuisine presented in the festival is a mix of both Indian and Pakistan. Most of these dishes were popular dishes in the State before the independence. Hence, we have named it as the Undivided Punjab festival.’ He also mentioned, ‘At this food festival, we are bringing three most distinctive styles of cooking from the streets of pre-independence Punjab.’
The head chef mentioned that the festival brings the experience of Peshawar’s unique Charsi Karahi and the ‘Taka Tak’ cooking style from Lahore. Rand De Basanti Urban Dhaba will also bring the magic from Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s kitchen where Chef Beliram created the delicacy named as ‘Ghost Beliram’.
Since its opening, Rang De Basanti Dhaba, has been attracting foodies with their interesting blend of food and ambience.
