Modi government has begun their campaign for the 2019 General Elections early this time around. After kick-starting Lok Sabha poll campaign in Punjab yesterday, PM Modi today arrived in Manipur and attended a rally in Imphal. The star campaigner of BJP inaugurated a number of projects in the state capital.
At the rally, Modi spoke up about the previous government, ‘It is because of the negligence of past governments in Manipur that projects worth Rs 19 or 20 crores have to be completed at the cost of Rs 500 crores now but now the NDA government is going to change this laid-back nature.’
Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 12 development projects worth Rs 1,500 crore in Manipur today. While addressing a public rally, the Prime Minister shared that he has visited the Northeast region nearly 30 times in last 4.5 years and he really like talking and meeting people here.
Attending his second rally in Silchar, Modi assured the people of Assam that no genuine citizen will be left out of the NRC and hoped that the Citizenship Bill will be soon get Parliament’s nod. ‘I am aware of the problems and difficulties faced by many during the NRC process but I assure you that no injustice will be done to any genuine Indian citizens.’
Modi is expected to hold 100 rallies ahead of the Lok Sabha elections as part of BJP’s campaign.
