From November 29 to December 5, the second edition of Bookworm Fest will be held at APO Building, Kohima. Organised by a team comprising of members from Barkweaver Publications, Crossword, De Oriental Grand Hotel and Little Niceties, it will be a great chance for book lovers, young and old, to get their hands on the latest releases and also interact with their favourite authors.
Highlights of the Fest
For the first time, the fest will feature an Open Mic section where poets can share their poetry with fellow poets and readers alike. This will be a great opportunity for young and upcoming poets to share their work.
Of course, no festival in the Northeast can be complete without music so there will be energetic and lively music performances by local artistes that people will be able to enjoy.
Like all book fests, there will be interesting book launches and people will be able to browse through and buy books written by writers from the Northeast. Be sure to catch the launch of Easterine Kire’s latest book Son of the Thundercloud published by Speaking Tiger. And for readers on a budget, you can indulge in used books that will be on display without burning a hole in your wallet.
Books and More
Of course apart from book stalls, there will be food and arts and crafts stalls. You can buy handmade cards, Christmas decorations, handmade toys, accessories and more. Visitors will also be able to indulge in homemade cakes, cookies, and local food items.
