In a bid to resolve the long standing border dispute between Assam and Nagaland, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will meet his Nagaland counterpart T R Zeliang at Kaziranga today.
Assam Home Commissioner LS Changsan has said that several ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Chief Secretary, DGPs from both the states will participate in the meeting. She said that the meeting will be a part of initiative to bolster friendship between the two States. Both the States have had long pending border dispute.
Changsan said that in coming days, such meetings are also expected to be held with other States of the Northeast. Both the Chief Ministers will also issue a joint statement after the meeting.
