Bee Attack Can Prove Fatal
This is not the first incident in Mizoram when a person has been killed by a swarm of bees. In a similar incident in 2010, a 38 year old man was killed near Chithar village in Lunglei district of Mizoram. The man named Nghenchhanliana was on the edge of a waterfall. When thousands of bees attacked him, he sat down letting the bees sting him to avoid falling into the gorge. He managed to return home somehow but died of multiple injuries after having high fever.
A bee attack can often prove to be fatal. Earlier this year, the incident of one Alex Bestler killed in Arizona after being sting more than 1000 times by bees had received widespread media coverage.
