A new shopping complex known as the Urban Shopping Complex recently opened in Bomdila. The complex was funded under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) for Rs 5, 27, 30,452. It was inaugurated by Bomdila MLA Japu Deru, in presence of Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop.
The Urban Shopping Complex Bomdila has 62 rooms including 1 ATM Booth, counters for Tata Sumos and buses and parking lot for around eighty cars. ‘White collared jobs are not the only way and means of livelihood. Business and setting up of small scale industries are better options whereby one gets self employed and generates employment avenues for others too,’ Japu Deru said. He also spoke at length about the need for being courteous to the customers and tourists, and called for giving utmost importance to the cleanliness of the complex.
