Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has said that the framework agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and the centre is actually a time bomb for the North East region. Gaikhangam described the agreement as a ticking time bomb. He also wondered why the content of the agreement has not been disclosed to the public.
Training his gun on BJP, the Deputy CM said the saffron party has been gaining strength in the state by taking in frustrated politicians. ‘ These politicians just want power. But they have no political place in Manipur. In fact, there is no scope for BJP in our state’ he said.
Gaikhangam, the former president of MPCC, further predicted that those who will not get BJP tickets in the ensuing assembly elections would do harm to the party.
