A helicopter of a private airline with eight people on board had a close shave on Thursday morning. It made an emergency landing at Nehrubali near Nagaon town in central Assam after developing a technical snag. The chopper was on its way from Guwahati to Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh.
The chopper of Skyone Airways was travelling with six of its staff and two passengers from Guwahati. It started from Guwahati airport at 10 am and the pilot noticed a technical snag midway. It was supposed to reach Itanagar at around 10.30 am.
The district administration at Nagaon has provided accommodation for the air staff at the government circuit house till the chopper is repaired, while the two passengers left for Itanagar by car.
