Guwahati is gearing up to host the Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics Forum on November 8-9. Flautist Hari Prasad Chaurasia, technocrat S Ramadorai, noted botanist, Peter Raven and a host of other intellectuals will come together to find innovative ways to solve some of the world’s pressing issues.
Some of the issues that concern the world are climate change, depletion of essential natural resources like water and the overwhelming influence of technology and culture, on successful conservation. The speakers and the experts will talk about these issues. The long-term aim is to create a larger conservation footprint and discuss possible solutions for the same.
Speakers like WOW Media CEO Nicholas Claxton, actor Dia Mirza and wildlife conservationist Bittu Sahgal will also be a part of the event. The event is organized by the Balipara Foundation. Naturenomics addresses capital formation through the recognition of ecological assets – nature capital.
