Two Bengali guys, Raju and Amit, are behind the Quick Snack food truck located in the Lalganesh area of Guwahati. Their father is a daily wage labourer, who was finding it difficult to make both ends meet. Growing up in a home of five children, it was never easy for the Poddar brothers, but like they say, where there is a will there is a way. So, the boys decided to help their father out.
Before opening the food truck, the brothers owned and worked at a key shop, but they had to shut it down after it stopped making profits. They sharpened their cooking skills before they set up shop. Their food truck, called Quick Snack, serves popular snacks like burgers, rolls, momos, noodles, fried rice etc.
Their pork and chicken momos are hotsellers and sells out in 2-3 hours. Their chicken momos are priced at Rs 60 and pork momos are priced at Rs 70. Another popular item is their chicken cheese roll, which contains fried chicken chunks smothered in melted cheese. It’s a jumbo roll and priced at Rs 110
Some of their other specialities are garlic chicken, chilly chicken boneless, fried rice, paneer chop etc. All the items are priced between Rs 50-180. The best thing about this truck is that they keep updating their menu and most of the items are affordable which means you don’t have to spend all your money to eat like a king.
