Guwahati is all geared up for the third edition of Rongali, which aims at promoting Assam as a tourism destination. This year the festival is scheduled to start from February 3. The three-day affair will showcase Assam’s rich cultural heritage.
There will be a slew of adventure sports at the festival like angling, boat racing, aero sports, water sports, trekking etc. Apart from that there will be drama acts, bhaona, band performances, ethnic food festival, fashion show, live art, interactive games, photography exhibition and a lot more.
Some of the artists who will be performing at the festival are Parikrama, Euphoria, Ash King, Joi Barua, Alobo Naga and DJs like Nucleya, Teri Miko and Zaeden. Assam’s various tribes, including Bodo, Mising, Karbi, Dimasa, Rabha and Sonowal Kachari will also present their way of life, food, liquor, traditional handloom products and dance forms at the festival, which will be held at the Khanapara Veterinary Ground and Brahmaputra riverfront.
