The 8th Singha Purush Radha Govinda Baruah full-length drama festival organised by Jyotirupa is set to kick off on February 24 at Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati. This fest aims to promote new concepts and experimentation, and also provide a platform to amateur theatre groups.
Atmar Abiskar by Natghar from Bajali and Premor Sito Pare by Eagle, a Tihu -based drama troupe will be staged after the opening. The highly acclaimed Simla Coffee House directed by Rakesh Bedi will be staged on 26 February. Gamos is going to be staged on 25 February by Gati Asom; Prastuti Parashar is set to appear in the play. On February 27, Guwahati-based Step Up is going to present Sapnakash.
Every day the shows are scheduled to start from 6 pm. Entry to all the shows in this drama fest is free but visitors will need to carry passes issued by the organization.
