The entire Northeast region is a melting pot of history and culture, and Manipur is no exception. But there is more to the Manipur magic than meets the eye. Lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times in association with Manipur’s Department of Tourism has come up with a unique four-part series to showcase a never-before-seen perspective of the State.
A first-of-its-kind series for the Northeast region, it is given the moniker ‘India Explored – Manipur’. With a new perspective, it will display various facets of the State, be it culture, arts, history, landscape, cuisine, tribes, or its people. Anchor and Travel Buff, Amba Suhasini, who is hosting the show has travelled all over the State to experience the charms of Manipur firsthand.
What is different about this series is that viewers would be able to experience and discover Manipur through her eyes. Some of the places important to the State’s history like the INA museum, Loktak lake, Keibul Lamjao, Mary Kom Academy, Imphal War Cemetry etc will be showcased. The host will interact with local people and listen to their stories and experiences which will also be a part of the series.
