Though Northeast United FC played a tough match against Mumbai City FC in their first away match, they lost the match 1-0. Diego Forlan’s penalty made all the difference between the two teams. Northeast United FC’s second away match is with FC Pune City and it is going to be a cracker of a match.
Northeast United FC
Nelo Vingada’s men are playing very good and creating many chances for their strikers but they need to covert those because in the end only goals will win you the matches. The defence of Northeast United FC’s is their strongest points so far as the opposition has been able to score only one goal and that too is a penalty.
If the midfield with the likes of Katsumi Yusa, Holicharan Narzary and Rowlin Borges hit their top form, their strikers Nico Velez and Emiliano Alfaro will be a great threat to FC Pune City’s goal.
FC Pune City
FC Pune City has lost their first home game but they are riding high on their away win over FC Goa. Their midfielders with Bruno Arias, Arata Izumi and Sanju Pradhan have a knack for goals so it will be interesting to see how they will be handled by Northeast United FC’s midfield and defence.
The arrival of FC Pune City’s new marquee Mohamed Sissoko is also a huge boost to the team as his experience has given depth to an already strong midfield of FC Pune City.
This is going to be a tough match and this win holds equal importance for the both the teams as FC Pune City will look out for their first home win, Northeast United FC will leave no stones unturned to register their first away win of the season.
