Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu said that the people will get to see more projects being implemented in the state in the coming days. Khandu went on to state that as a result of this, Arunachal Pradesh now shares cordial relations with the Centre.
Arunachal Pradesh to get its best people centric budget
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Mahabodhi School and Mahabodhi Siddhartha Children’s Home at Mahabodhi Centre, while Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inaugurated the seismic isolated Mahabodhi Kalyanamitra guesthouse. RWD Parliamentary Secretary, Jambey Tashi inaugurated the Mahabodhi Cultural Hall funded by Rajya Sabha MP, Mukut Mithi.
Taking centerstage, Khandu hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and went on to state that Arunachal Pradesh has a good relation with the Centre. Not only that, come the next financial year, the State would see the best people centric budget being implemented.
The Chief Minister also appealed the people of Tawang and West Kameng region to extend cooperation to his government, so that he could equally take care of the development needs of all the districts.
The Chief Minister appreciated the remarkable infrastructural achievement made by the Mahabodhi centre within eight years of its establishment, with help received through donations and support from the central government. He also pledged help to the centre the next financial year.
Meanwhile Deputy CM Chowna Mein also inaugurated the seismic isolated Mahabodhi Kalyanmitra guesthouse. The total cost of the project is about 85 lakhs. The occasion also saw Khandu launch a newsletter- Mahabodhi Aaj Tak. Not only that, the Chief Minister also dedicated a documentary ‘The Third Innings’ to the citizens of an old age home.
About Mahabodhi Society
The Mahabodhi Society was founded in 2003 in Diyun, Arunachal Pradesh. Initially it started out with a primary school and hostel, having being run from temporary facilities till 2007. After that it got about 20 acres of land in Jyotipur village, where it is situated presently. At present there are 500 children studying in classes from LKG to 10th standard. The children are from all parts of the states belonging to various tribes.
