Two Shillong natives, Baia Marbaniang and Giovanni Arnold Thangkhiew have been cast in the short film, MIA I’M. The film is written and directed by Satish Raj. The mentor is none other than noted film director, writer and producer Imtiaz Ali.
Both Baia and Giovanni are playing the main characters in the film. The film is about how youngsters need to be more responsible towards themselves as well as others, on social media, which is a tool that can condemn you as well as redeem you. It was screened during the MAMI film festival on October 23. Some parts of this film were shot in Shillong.
A media artist by profession, Baia Marbaniang graduated from St Anthony’s College Shillong in 2009 while Giovanni, a staff of KC Secondary School, graduated from BK Bajoria, Shillong.
