Amar Subba, a marathoner from Sikkim, will be participating in the 2016 International Mountain Marathon and the Asia Mountain Running Challenge. It will be held in Yixing and Bijie city in China later this year.
He along with Roshni Rai of Kalimpong will represent India at this event. They were selected on the basis of their past accomplishments in their respective categories. Previously Amar had participated in various events and run for social causes in Sikkim.
Who is Amar Subba?
Amar is 47-year-old and comes from Darap, West Sikkim. He will run 50 km ultra marathon at the event in China. Earlier he was invited for the same event in September but could not participate due to some official issues.
But this time he will be able to participate for which he thanked Bikram Pandey. Pandey who is the chairman of Everest Marathon, Nepal, also extended financial support for the event. Amar has a month to prepare for this run.
